The Third “Learning from the Future” Conference – BİLTİR Center, Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Türkiye

The third “Learning from the Future” Conference, organised within the framework of the MAPIT Project in collaboration with the Institute for Future Research (IFR) and WEglobal, was successfully held on 13 March 2025, hosted by BİLTİR – the Center for Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing, Robotics Research and Application at the Middle East Technical University (METU).

The event brought together representatives from the Directorate for EU Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, BÜYÜTECH, MAKFED, METU Technopark, and the METU Digital Innovation Center, whose valuable contributions and perspectives enriched the discussions.

Throughout the conference, participants engaged in forward-looking analyses and collaborative exercises aimed at identifying key priorities and actionable steps for BİLTİR’s future vision in the fields of technology development, productivity enhancement, and human resource capacity building.

This interactive workshop environment provided a unique opportunity to explore strategic pathways for strengthening BİLTİR’s role in Türkiye’s innovation and research ecosystem, in alignment with the broader objectives of the MAPIT Project.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants for their insightful contributions, to BİLTİR and its team for their warm hospitality, and to the Institute for Future Research and WEglobal for their coordination and mentorship in facilitating the conference and workshop sessions.
