The MAPIT Project consortium gathered at İzmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH) for the final training session of the Future Studies Programme (FSP), marking an important milestone in the project’s capacity-building activities. Organised as part of the MAPIT Future Studies Programme & Final Consortium Meeting, the session focused on strengthening research management capabilities and supporting the long-term sustainability of Research Support Offices across partner institutions.
The training, led by HÉTFA, addressed key topics related to organisational development, lessons learned throughout the Future Studies Programme, and action planning for the future development of research support services. Participants reflected on the achievements of the programme while identifying practical strategies to further enhance institutional research management capacities.
Through interactive workshops and collaborative discussions, consortium partners exchanged experiences, shared good practices, and explored solutions to common organisational challenges. The sessions provided an opportunity to assess institutional needs and develop actionable approaches for improving research support services within the Horizon Europe framework.
The Future Studies Programme has played a significant role in equipping partner organisations with the knowledge, tools, and strategic perspectives needed to strengthen their research management systems. By investing in institutional capacity and professional development, the MAPIT Project contributes to building more resilient organisations capable of increasing their participation in European research and innovation programmes.
The MAPIT Project extends its sincere thanks to HÉTFA for leading the training programme and to all consortium partners for their active participation and valuable contributions. Together, the consortium continues to strengthen research management capacities and lay the foundation for sustainable international collaboration beyond the lifetime of the project.
