As part of the Horizon Europe MAPIT Project, Seda Damla Buk Yücel from Teknopark İzmir successfully completed a secondment at MCI – The Entrepreneurial School in Innsbruck, Austria. The mobility activity was organised to promote knowledge exchange, strengthen international cooperation, and enhance institutional capacity through the sharing of expertise and good practices.
During the secondment, participants explored a wide range of topics related to innovation ecosystems, university–industry collaboration, entrepreneurship support, knowledge transfer, and international project development. The programme provided valuable opportunities to exchange experiences and discuss effective approaches for fostering innovation and supporting research-driven collaboration.
The visit also included discussions on ongoing Erasmus+ Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) activities, as well as future funding and cooperation opportunities under European programmes such as Horizon Europe (including MSCA and WIDERA), Eurostars, and Erasmus+. These exchanges contributed to identifying new avenues for collaborative project development and strengthening international research and innovation networks.
The secondment further reinforced the partnership between MCI – The Entrepreneurial School, Teknopark İzmir, and İzmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH). By facilitating knowledge sharing, staff mobility, and institutional learning, the activity supported the MAPIT Project’s objectives of building stronger research and innovation capacities while encouraging sustainable international collaboration.
The MAPIT Project continues to promote researcher mobility and cross-border cooperation as key drivers of innovation. Through secondments such as this, the consortium strengthens long-term partnerships and lays the foundation for future collaborative initiatives that contribute to a more connected and resilient European research and innovation ecosystem.
